The Rambow family immigrated to Canada from the Kingdom of Prussia in 1863. Making their way across North America, they eventually settled in Hodgeville, Saskatchewan, where they worked the land and ran businesses in the town.

German traditions, language, and cooking were passed through the generations, as they were with many landed German families in Canada. Today, people of German ancestry represent almost 18% of Alberta's population; Nearly 10% of Canada's population is of Germanic ancestry.

Our German-style beers are brewed according to das Reinheitsgebot (German Beer Purity Law), which specifies that beer can only be brewed with water, hops, grain, and yeast. Special horizontal lagering tanks help to condition our German-style lagers, creating a crisp high-quality product.

Our Non-Alcoholic beers are made using a specialized system that allows us to brew our regular beer as normal, and remove the alcohol without requiring us to change the recipe. We are the only brewery in Alberta to use this system!
